This week , however, marks another phase of our retirement journey aboard Evergreen. We intend to bring our sailboat South to Florida, the Bahamas, and ? So, after a bit of sorting we loaded those things that we don't need aboard into the trailer and off Philip went with the truck and trailer to take it all home to Florida. He will fly back after making sure things are secure at our home in Florida that we affectionately call Basecamp.
So, here I am in Maine literally tied to the dock and just hangin' out. I am employed, though. I am cleaning, sorting, taking inventory, and writing it all down. Hopefully, this will improve our liveaboard status. We might actually be able to find things!?!
I don't know how many of you out there have lived aboard a sailboat? It's like living in a narrow camper. There are storage areas for lots of stuff, but they are all behind closed doors for various reasons. The difficulty then is keeping track of where you put things.
"Let me see, where did I stash those shackles, lines, food, etc. The list is endless!
