I was doing some yard work this afternoon under a sunny, Florida sky, temp in the 70's with a cool breeze rustling the leaves on the large, Southern Oak trees that I was raking under. Our forays into the Canadian Maritimes every summer are fun, but it does put one behind with the yard work! The Oak trees got me thinking about the circle of life and into my head popped a poem that I would like to share.
Circle of Life
by Sharon merlier
Fecund Oak leaves on the ground complete your transformation,
Into the burning flame you go without lamentation,
Into rich soil you will transform,
To feed the seed that you helped form,
When you were high upon the tree,
A mighty Oak again to be!
