Just a little deviation from the cards today. This is my great-granddaughter. She was born 7/27/2013 @1825. Just in time for dinner and from what I hear she's a hungry one!!! Congratulations to my grandson Nathan and his wife Natascha. Many, many blessings to the three of you!!!
This card represents sudden, cataclysmic and perhaps unwanted change. One could be sailing along, having a perfectly lovely day and planning future adventures. Then suddenly something happens to change plans drastically. It could be something as unwanted as a sudden, tragic death, loss of a home as a result of storm, fire or flood, a serious accident of some kind or just something serious enough to make you change coarse in a hurry! The point is that whatever you built, planned or expected was not meant to continue for any number of reasons. You are faced with this sudden, irrevocable change that you have to learn to accept and try to get past in order to move ahead. Wow! These things hit hard enough to knock you down and make you wonder if you'll ever be able to get back up...
When these things occur, Karma is trying to teach us lessons that we need to learn - RIGHT NOW! Perhaps we ignored gentler warnings and the only way to get through is to throw horrendous catastrophes at us. I don't know about you, but I've certainly been stuck in my groove with tunnel vision enough so that I wasn't looking at the BIG picture. When these kind of changes happen we need to really try to get past the pain and dig deeply beneath the surface of events in order to figure out what is really happening and how we can build our tower back up on a more stable base. There is ALWAYS a message - we just need to figure out how to connect and move forward.
I wish you all many blessings and hope that your "Titanic" experiences teach you the valuable lessons you need to learn!
I am taught in my tarot classes that the Court cards seem to be the cards that people have the most difficulty interpreting. There are many different views written regarding what they actually do represent. When doing a reading for someone and a Court card pops out does it represent an actual person? Is it representing a particular type of energy? What if more than one presents themselves at the same time? Marcus Katz and Tali Goodwin have some interesting things to say about this subject in this month's Tarot Life Book 7 entitled: Find Equality. It's worth the nominal fee if you're interested in Tarot to purchase it from Amazon Kindle.
In my first introduction to Tarot I was taught that this card represents the strong, practical, independent feminine side. This part of you appreciates "the good things in life." The Queen of Pentacles is ambitious and covets social position and success. She has her feet planted firmly on the ground and acts responsibly. She is wise.
I learned today that sometimes when this card comes up for you, as it did for me this afternoon, that it means I am being recognized for putting myself out there voluntarily to explore something scary and new. As many of you may know by now, my husband and I are exploring the upper regions of the Canadian Maritimes in our 36 foot sail boat - Evergreen. Based on the the following pictures, do you think this is the appropriate card for me today?
"Hey, lets walk to the top of the rocky point of that hill!"
You said you wanted to go for a walk to the top of the hill???
This small Beluga whale decided to check and see if our boat was his mother. Here is seen swimming out from under it! We are tied to the dock. Belugas a very social creatures and I think this one got a bit off the path during today's gale.
