"But, Master Hermit, it looks dark and scary in there and I would appreciate your help. Please?"
"My child, I cannot show you the way, your way is your own. You must look within and find your own way."
Gulp! I have to go in there by myself? In the dark? Whoa!
What the Hermit is trying to tell us is that we need to look deeply inside ourselves to find the path that is right for our uniqueness. We must find a quiet place to meditate and sort out our values - what is most important to us in order to stimulate our growth during this incarnation. We should remain open-minded, draw on life experiences, set good examples, quest after the higher goals, so that we might soar like that Sea Gull. We should try to be more self-sufficient and independent while travelling through life and allow our guardian spirits to lead us to the places we need to go to accomplish our life mission. While always taking the advice of others into consideration, we shouldn't allow someone else to dictate how we should live our lives. It is very important to remain true to ourselves and walk our own paths.
We must strive to achieve a place and time where we can get the peace and quiet we need to evaluate our days, our relationships, activities - both work and leisure, thoughts, desires, emotions and practical needs. This place and time should be considered sacred to us and to everyone around us.
Even - if - it's - in - there...!
